Polymer nanoparticles are colloidal particles in the size range from 1nm to 1000 nm. They have shown great potential for targeted delivery of drug molecules to improve therapeutic efficacy. Initially formulated like (nano) emulsions, they form a very small droplet consisting of a solvent containing both the active pharmaceutical ingredient and the polymer.
